So if you haven't heard by now ... PETA made very insensitive remarks about the Late Steve Irwin on what would have been his 57th birthday.
"#SteveIrwin was killed while harassing a ray; he dangled his baby while feeding a crocodile & wrestled wild animals who were minding their own business. Today’s #GoogleDoodle sends a dangerous, fawning message. Wild animals are entitled to be left alone in their natural habitats."
And of cos people are ripping PETA apart. PETA shot itself in the foot ... lol ... so many animals to save PETA out here harrassing a dead man!
The next thing PETA is going to say is David Attenborough invading animals privacy by fiilming them .... Archaeologists are disturbing the dead by excavating.
What is wrong with PETA!
Here is the reason why I don't reveal much about myself to people ... even good friends. A few years ago, I met a guy online. He was from another country. I had just ended a 4 year long relationship and a flirty cute charmer was what I needed ... wanted.
He had a way to get the very shy me to open up. Or maybe I was just very vulnerable at that point of time.
I told him information about myself ... thinking it was safe because there was no way we were going to meet up in real life.
One day ... to my horror ... I received a call ... from a local number. It was him!
He had traveled to come see me, without informing me. I know it may sound romantic ... but I was shocked. We had met online only 3 weeks ago. I calmed myself and told him that we could meet in a couple of days. He was very aggressive and insisted on meeting me immediately. He sounded like a totally different person. We spent hours arguing on the phone.
The next day he actually came to my workplace! I received a call from the security department that a 'difficult' gentleman was looking for me. I work at a very large organization, and he managed to narrow down to my department. Now that is scary! There was no way in hell I was going out to see him ... especially not after they described him as 'difficult'. Later that night while I was still in the office doing overtime, I received a call from him ... he was outside my house.
He threatened me to come see him immediately or he was going to knock the door and talk to my family. He sent me pictures of my front door ... shoes ... just to prove he wasn't playing around. I begged him not to disturb my family. His next request was what blew me away. He said he would go away only if I agree to accompany him to his hotel room and that he would leave the country once we spend 'quality time' together.
That was it! I told him to go **** himself. I told him to stay right there and that I was going to bring the police with me. I also lied to him that I already told my family inside the house not to let him in. I didn't hear from him the rest of the night.
The next day evening ... he called me to say that he was at the airport and he was going back. That was the last time I spoke to him. A few years later, I got to know that he had a extensive criminal record and was serving time in prison.
God knows what would have happened if I had met him! I learned a very terrifying lesson. You never know who is on the other side of the internet. I still make friends online but I always maintain a distance. I don't talk about my family, background, religion ... work. I don't want to make another mistake again.
On the sad side ... it makes it difficult to trust people ... even the good ones :(
I am sorry ...
*******
I thought a lot about writing this in my VR journal. But I think it might be a helpful reminder to be careful.
It took a lot for me to share this ... Recently I have been receiving messages from this guy on VR. Sometimes he sends nice messages and sometimes he sends rude messages. I rarely reply to him. Couple of days ago ... he sent me a message ... that simply read ... "I am talking ... jackass". And I am seriously creeped out now.

Thanks Mogy ... I just didn't expect him to travel across the world after 3 weeks of talking. It went from cute to psycho really quick.
Yeah, that was probably a crime waiting to be made into headlines news.
It's not cute, funny, attractive, sweet, thoughtful or positive in any way to invade one's privacy and personal space in which one has not been given prior approval to do so.
My next door neighbor has a habit of just walking over and knocking on my front door if he doesn't see me outside to just chit chat. I keep telling him that he needs to call first since I may not be ready to answer my door being a home Nudist and all, but he still does it. So he gets a 50/50 chance that I'll actually answer my door AFTER confirming it's him.
I mean....Fuck! Respect My Right To Privacy, Brother! Call first!
(Joking side) but but... -chuckles- Cubby..
Oh shush! Now if you came over to see me ... that would be a diff issue. I may hold you hostage :p
Oh really? Sounds fun lol. Now I may need to visit

Sometimes I legitimately wonder if they are an organization being paid to give the concept of animal rights a bad name...

True. I don't understand why they not involved in matters are they supposed to get involved in. Instead they come with crap like this.
Zombie ...It was a tragic accident! He was an amazing conservationist! Brought awareness too many people.
